Celebrations of New Year Eve have become more popular in the country from last decade. The Eve is celebrated with great gusto and zeal all over the country.

Although it is considered that celebrations for the New Year Eve are the outcome of the western influence but every festival celebrated in India reflects the richness of Indian culture. Same go true for the New Year Eve’s celebrations.

New Year Eve’s celebrations are the perfect blend of the western and Indian culture. People adorn their houses with fresh flowers and colorful rangoli on the occasion. The eve comes with exciting plans for each age group.

People plan their programs for the New Year Eve well in advance right from youth to elder people. Youth wait eagerly for the day and have their own styles to welcome the New Year by enjoying together with friends and family members.

Lunar eclipse may spoil New Year 2010 celebrations in India. As for the Indian astrology reports, the time of Chadra Grahan or Chadra Grahanam will begin at 12.22 am and end at 1.24am on January 1 2010. People believe that during an eclipse Rahu and Ketu take charge of the universe and hence it is inauspicious.

• January 4 – The Burj Dubai in Dubai, United Arab Emirates will be completed. It is already the tallest man-made structure ever built.

• January 29 – Mars opposition with Earth will occur.

• June 11 – July 11 – 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

Annual Day

Sanskriti KMV School celebrates its Annual day on 14^th october, 09 which marks a tribute to unity & integrity of different cultures. It is a step ahead to build the bridges of oneness by appreciating the culture heritage of mankind.

The function started with lighting of lamp by the chief guest , president & manger of school, followed by Saraswati Vandana and Ganesh Vandana. The school head boy Rahul Jain was comparing in hindi whereas Tanya was comparing in english.The tiny tots of the school presented their fountain of talents by dancing . The senior children held the audience engrossed with their colourful attire & heart throbbing performances, as they presented Rajasthani dance, Dandiya , and cultural show, a wonderful fusion of eastern & western dance by a harmonious blend of music rhythm & dance show was shown.
Principal Ms. Nisha Bhargava presented the school report tracing the progress made in the last one year & said that during the first of existence, the school has taken long strides & has made commendable progress.

The prizes for all round proficiency were given by the Chief Guest, the President & the member of the managing committee. In the end our folk dances Bhangra & Giddha were performed which got the audience pumped up once again.
